ROUSH Mustang Stage 3

Jack Roush issued the engineering team at ROUSH Industries a challenge – “Design and engineer a true high performance, reliable and exciting Mustang, true Muscle Car, and I will see that America will get it.” Signed, sealed and delivered…

The Stage 3 Mustang ROUSH combines a massive increase horsepower and torque, which is carefully mated to upgrades in suspension, braking, and the overall body dynamics. There’s no denying the superb handling characteristics, the undeniable ROUSH look and the blistering 1/4 mile and road course short times capable of such an awe inspiring machine.

The ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang boasts (2006 Model) 415 horsepower with 385 lb-ft of torque under the hood, thanks to the addition of a ROUSHcharger roots style supercharger system. This is the fastest, tightest-handling, and best looking Ford Mustang in the history of Roush Performance, a company with a long and rich racing heritage.

The Stage 3, 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system includes the intercooled Roushcharger system with custom Roush-calibrated ECM and several other performance modifications. This upgrade is a vast improvement over the factory stock engine which is rated at 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.

But this car is more than just being quick on the throttle as the more than 1G rating on the skidpad attests. A host of suspension upgrades include tuned shocks, struts, springs, front and rear sway bars and jounce bumpers. But it doesn’t stop there… upgraded brakes with monsterous 14-inch front rotors and four-piston calipers bring this ‘Steed to a screeching halt. According to the press release, every component was engineered to ride comfort in the quest for the ultimate in handling and performance.

On the outside, styling is enhanced by way of an OEM quality seven-piece body kit consisting of a hot new front fascia, chin spoiler, hood scoop, rocker panels and a rounding out of the back with a sleek rear fascia valance and rear wing – fact installed by Roush factory technicians of course.

Fitted with Roush badging throughout, and a serialized engine bay plaque, the fun doesn’t stop there. How about a pair of snazzy lower valence fog lamps, super hot 18-inch forged rims wrapped in high-performance tires, sporty leather seat covers, optional racing stripes, billet aluminum shift knob and pedals, embroidered floor mats, and of course the “Stage 3″ white face gauge cluster to let everyone know (if they didn’t already) that you’re driving a bad-ass car.
